France: A new homeland for Haitian orphans.

A group of 33 Haitian children who have been adopted by French families arrived in Paris on Friday evening. They left the school where they had sought shelter and are on their way to France. Aged between one and six years old, they will be met at the airport by their new families.

French court orders Google to stop scanning French books.

A French court on Friday told Google that it cannot digitise French books without the publisher’s approval and ordered the online giant to pay 300,000 euros in damages. A victory for copyright says Alain Kouck, vice-president of France’s second largest publisher Editis.
